Dear Colleague,

As we look forward to our new year, I would like to take this opportunity to provide a summary of our activities and future plans.

CRHSP has experienced unprecedented growth this past year with new Registrants and the creation of our Associates Program (welcoming Doctoral Students to affiliate with CRHSP during their training years).

We continue to strengthen the collaboration with our partners at the National Register of Health Service Psychologists in the US to provide you with valuable benefits such as the quarterly Journal of Health Service Psychology, Pragmatic Case Studies in Psychotherapy, monthly clinical webinars, and hundreds of archived continuing education courses.

CRHSP has continued to develop webinar programs with a uniquely Canadian focus. This year we offered webinars on working with Indigenous clients and integrating psychologists into primary care settings. We were delighted to see so many Registrants attend and very much appreciate your overwhelmingly positive and encouraging feedback. If you missed the live presentations, you can watch the recorded versions here.

As a CRHSP Registrant, you also have access to the highly competitive professional liability insurance program offered through McFarlan Rowlands which has maintained the same premium for the last three years. You can learn more and apply at McFarlan Rowlands.

The CRHSP FindaPsychologist listing allows you to promote your practice to the public who are looking for psychological services in your area.

The CRHSP membership directory allows you to identify and connect with Registrants across Canada who are part of the CRHSP community of psychologists.

In addition to all these benefits, I am excited to remind you about our agreement with OWL Practice, a Canadian enterprise. It offers CRHSP Registrants a 20% discount for new customers using OWL’s practice tools. Find out more about OWL products and services at https://owlpractice.ca/crhsp/ .

CRHSP Registrants also receive a 20% discount to the clinical education programs offered by Asadis at https://asadis.net/en/ .

As part of our outreach campaign to attract the next generation of Canadian registrants, we have simplified our credentialing application and have eliminated the fee to join, so new registrants will not owe any dues until November 30, 2024. Please share with any colleagues who would benefit from joining the CRHSP and encourage them to apply at www.crhsp.ca.

Sincerely,

Jenny R. Keller, PhD, RD Psych, President
